My first day back in Europe was awesome. It had everything I loved about travel, both the good and the bad. Before taking a train out to Stanstead Airport for the night, I walked down onto the docks in front of the Tower Bridge. "Nice bridge you've got there," I joked with a man who worked on one of the boats. "Funny you should put it that way," he said with a broad smile, "my Great-Grandfather helped build that bridge!" Considering the fact that the bridge was completed in 1894, I didn't doubt it. I spent a moment looking at the impressive structure with a gentleman who's expression could be nothing but pride. I decided to spend the next hour sitting in the shadow of the Tower Bridge, watching the sun set on the city, contemplating what lies ahead on my journey to The Balkans.
