After touring Pula, I headed over to the bus station planning on taking the 4pm bus to Trieste, Italy. However, there wasn't a 4pm bus to Trieste. In fact, there wasn't a bus for the remainder of the day going to Trieste! When I arrived into Pula, I made sure to write down the departure times so I wouldn't need to make an extra trip to the station. What I did not know is that the schedule I was looking at was just posted for the upcoming summer season (starting July 1st)! So now my options were either the 5a, 6a or 7a bus the next morning! Instead of going back to the campsite outside of town, I opted to stay at Omladinski Hostel in Pula. On the short bus ride over, I met Amy from Canada (left) and Nik from Australia, whom were also staying in the hostel. We quickly became good friends and went to dinner in town (where we met this excited puppy) and swimming in the cold Valsaline bay, marking the first (and last) time on my trip that I swam in the Adriatic Sea.
