When the party came to an end at 1a, I told my Irish roommates that they could throw water or kick me if I don't wake up when my 5am alarm goes off. The next morning, we all slept through my 5a alarm. It wasn't until six that I was shaken awake by a roommate holding a pitcher of ice cold water intending to throw it on me. You've never seen someone jump out of bed faster than I did (despite my raging hangover).

  If I missed the bus out of Pula, the remainder of my trip would be chaotic. But I made it to the Pula bus terminal moments before the final bus to Trieste departed, which brought me to the Trieste airport just in time to make my flight to London.
