Rijeka, 10:00p. I decided on the bus ride over that I wasn't going to stay here. Rijeka stinks... literally! It smells like the worst parts of Los Angeles on a hot day. The aroma changes from car exhaust to waste to dead fish with only a slight breeze. However, I did enjoy the pedestrian walkway Korzo with the city tower (pictured). It reminds me of a trendy strip mall in Orange County but it is in fact older than the United States Constitution! After an hour walk around town, I went back to the bus station to rest my sore feet and wait for the midnight bus to Pula.
