  Amsterdam, The Netherlands:
I dreaded my trip to Amsterdam. I don't like the loose ethics and morals of Vegas and I had a feeling that Amsterdam wouldn't be too much different. I also knew that it was a backpacker's haven, and I was beginning to realize that I'm the type of person that would rather be in a rural wilderness alone than in a crowded city with many backpackers.

But after the initial "I-told-me-so" exploration of the City of (Red) Lights, I found that the "normal" (read: non-Red Light District) areas of Amsterdam were quite charming. If I was to go back to Amsterdam, I would probably spend all my time OUT of the Red Light District learning what life in this city is really like.
