Brasov, Romania:

After a grueling 36 hours of hopping on and off of trains, I arrived in Brasov, Romania - in the heart of Transylvania - on Halloween night! It was by far the scariest, spookiest Halloween of my life. Not because of the things you expect on Halloween (scary movies, music and costumes - all fake) but of the things you wouldn't expect (howling dogs, scraggly black trees, tulle fog, bats - all real).
