Cristina and Marius suprised me again by waking me up early in the morning and taking a train into Moldavia, Northern Romania. We arrived in a small village in which its trainstation had no business being there. Without the station and the occasional car, I could believe that we were in the 1800's. Locals clothes, houses and horse and wagons all looked out of place in a world full of cellular phones, airplanes and the Internet. The people seemed proud of their heritage and lifestyle. Even the horses trotted proudly down the road, its nostrils flaring as it passed. Take a gander over to this page to read more about this "Cannonball Run."
