*Nov 22nd, 2001Paris, France
In August of 1997, I wrote a letter to myself as a way of self-modivation (pictured above). I gave it to a friend who went on a trip to France and she mailed it back to me from the Eiffel Tower's post office. When I received the letter back, I never opened it but kept it in a safe place with the hope to be able to open it in Europe. Although I never forgot about the existence of the letter, I did however forget what I had wrote to myself after a few years.
But it made the moment all the more memoriable when I opened and read the letter on a bench in front of the Notre Dame in Paris.
I will never forget my 77-day, 14-country pilgrimage. It was the best experience of my life.
