Daddy longleg spiders stick together in the Sierra Madre. From a distance, they look like dark clumps of exposed roots. Our guide did what all grown-up kids would do: he took a handful of these innocuous creatures and filled in an imaginary bald spot on his head. All women in the group immediately ran as far away from him as possible.
